Easter weekend is going to be pretty busy in our house!! Last night we hosted a last supper. We had another couple and their kids come over. We cooked food that Jesus would have eaten. I didn't make unleavened bread like he would of been eating because of passover but I did a Jewish honey bread. We also had figs, dates, almonds, hard boiled eggs, honey cake, and skewers. I didn't use lamb but I think the kids got the idea. We also served grape juice. It was a big hit with my kids. It will definitely be a family tradition. I was looking for something "meaningful" but that we could keep doing with our kids year after year. This seriously was our answer. Every year can be a little different with the same principal. When they're older they'll be able to study the story more in depth and gain a broader understanding than the story we told last night. I loved it.

The spread (the picture isn't that great but the food looked a lot better in real life)

The food looks yummy!!!! I put Jared in soccer this summer too and he's really excited. I don't know why everyone mocks mini vans....personally, I love mine. We test drove different kinds of SUV's and I didn't like any of them. Finally I drove a mini van and I will never go back. They are way better than anything else I've tried anyway. Guess I'm a dorky minivan mom...hahaha.
LOL, I don't HATE mini-vans but my parents owned a hideous beast of a mini van when I was a kid and I remember the awful stink I swore up and down I was never going to procreate enough to need one of those. (the long winded story of my traumatizing mini-van life).... but I do have to stay that they are super convienent!
