March Madness

March
It is Whizzing by!
Penny has already begun planning her birthday
and
at first
it seemed a little overly anticipated
but
its the END of March
so
She actually should be thinking about it
I
should be thinking about it.
Yikes!

This little Guy
was born this morning!
Which is a welcomed relief!
Now I can actually sleep through the night!
I am so excited!
He was born without any complications
{thank goodness}

The girls have their waggon hooked up
so
that is like a horse buggy
I really should just get rocky a harness and a waggon
and then Penny won't have to
whip her sisters!
{although it probably doesn't hurt them to have to haul her around}

Andy Loves Penny's doctor kit
He always has
"his" stethoscope around his neck.
Penny usually has human patients
but he is usually got a stuffed animal or his eggs and chicks

Hopefully this is a sign!
I could use a live-in vet!

We went up to Calgary
with my parents.
Dusty was at work so when I say "we"
I mean me and the kids
in the back of a car
for 6 hours
Fun times!
Haha just kidding!
My dad was stuck back there!

We ate at the mall
and they suckered him into a carousel ride!

Outside Play

Andy LOVES it outside.
Which is good since we spend
a LOT of time there!

We have been getting ready for lambs
and spring
so we have been outside even more than normal
and
not always in favorable weather condidtions.
He is big enough now that he gets shipped out too.

Yesterday we sold our geese and it was sloppy out.
Yesterday we were busy so he was left to his own devices...
(mostly- he was still supervised just not hovered over)
and
he discovered
stomping
and not just any stomping
but
stomping in Puddles!

Conversation between Sisters

Ellie and Lucy were standing at the door admiring Lucy's new sanuk flip flops.
Lucy urges Ellie to try them because "they are the BEST!"
Ellie concedes and try's them on.
She gives a "hmmm" of approval
Then says, "they are really comfy, like underwear. They are underwear for your feet"
Then in all seriousness Lucy agrees.

Sanuks underwear for your feet-
Haha
Ellie should be eligible for royalties if they ever go with that for a slogan!

Talent Show Act #3

I ran out of room on my phone so the video got cut a little short.
She did awesome.
She can't wait to do it on the real thing this summer!

Talent Show Act #2

Ellie wanted to show-off her mad goat tying skills.
Penny could give Vanna a run for her money!

Dinner and a drive

Yesterday after church we loaded up and headed for my parents.
It was a lovely drive.
Gophers galore.
It feels like spring may be around the corner!
We went to celebrate my sisters birthday...
Which means delicious food.
I won't be eating steak for a while since I had to get out my bottom wisdom teeth today.
Did I mention how amazing it was???
After dinner we went outside and helped my dad get his bikes out.
Which is another sign of spring....

The kids love them.

Penny's Ponderings

We drove past a place where the highway was closed due to an accident.
She asked what happened and so I explained to her that there was a car accident.
Penny talks while sorting things through in her mind.
She began by stating that getting in an accident would be scary.
She then thought it would be sad to die
but
more sad if we all died and left dad because he would be sad
but
it would be really sad if died because he likes to do stuff.
I then told her that everyone has to die and we don't get to pick when.
She then says,
"Yah but you guys are close to dying. You have to be 100"
{hopefully she means to die... and not her estimate on how old I am}
{I am feeling the need to go buy some wrinkle cream for me and my old man!}

Andy can be a bit distracting
even
on his best behaviour...

End of Season

This was Penny's last week of hockey
{for the season}
She was not ready to quit!
She usually came out wearing full equipment in the mornings!
She is already looking forward to next season.

We ended with a little party.
Some orange floats
awards
and a prizes.
They also got their team pictures
and
she got her very own hockey card!

We are so proud of her.
She was a great little player
and she came out with a great attitude every week.
She loves to skate so much
she is trying to talk her dad into some
ROLLERBLADES!

He is pretty in love with his
little
hockey player!
I imagine roller blades will be present
in the near
future!
